Learning When to Tap Out

I realized after my floor fighting competition last weekend that I had been injured. It seems my left elbow was hyperextended during a submission attempt, but I definitely didn't pay attention to it while it was happening. So, this week and in training today, I am wearing an elbow brace to help me stay more cognizant of my joint so as to not further aggravate it.

One of the key things in training is to never give up and to push through, but with some forms of training, we need to be more in tune with our body mechanics to make sure that the pain is good pain, not bad pain.

Good pain is the kind that makes you stronger. Bad pain is the kind that just leaves you with an injury to nurse.
